To be direct, I had never heard of Juneteenth until it came up under Joe Biden's time as the American President. Since leftists spend a great deal of time and money courting votes and support of black people, I thought it was another stunt. I was wrong in some ways. People are not given accurate or complete history, and "Lincoln freed the slaves with the Emancipation Proclamation" is one example. When he made his statements, everyone — including the Confederacy — did not simply turn the slaves loose. Also, remember that news traveled slowly back then.
